Gran Hotel del Coto
Our aim is to integrate the principles of the circular economy into our daily actions, especially in our purchasing, waste and water footprint management.
Minimize food waste:
At Gran Hotel Del Coto we work to reduce surplus at all points in the value chain of our gastronomy. We also want to raise awareness among our employees and customers, while collaborating with partners such as Too Good To Go, Cáritas and the Food Bank.
Local suppliers, km 0 product:
At Gran Hotel Del Coto we are committed to “Km 0”, promoting the local economy of the destinations where our establishments are located. For this reason, we try to select all those local suppliers who share this mission with us, supporting economic activity in the areas in which we operate, working with producers in the places where the Gran Hotel Del Coto hotels are located.
In addition, we have organic gardens in some of the Gran Hotel Del Coto, where we grow vegetables that we obtain in a sustainable way that respects the environment. Thus, hotel guests enjoy these products in the recipes of our restaurants.
Measures to reduce water consumption:
We have invested in water consumption reduction systems to make better use of this resource in all Gran Hotel Del Coto hotels. We currently carry out exhaustive daily monitoring to reduce and optimize water consumption in our facilities.
In addition, we offer free osmosis water to customers, replacing the use of bottled water at the Gran Hotel Del Coto, also contributing to the reduction of waste generation.
Measures to reduce energy consumption:
To minimise the impact generated, at Gran Hotel Del Coto we are committed to reducing our electricity consumption. We will achieve this goal by optimising the use of facilities through monitoring and control and investing in more efficient technologies that reduce our CO2 footprint.
In addition, we have implemented good practices that we continually review and optimize.
